There are also eco-friendly T-shirt’s available using organic cotton which is grown without commercial fertilizers and pesticides. Today there is high tech cloth that wicks the moisture away from the skin and lets the side next to the skin dry first instead of the outside of the shirt. This is excellent for sportsmen and women to keep them free from sweat as well as light rain.
Most people just toss their T-shirt apparel in the washing machine and dryer and forget about it. In most cases this is fine because cotton is a durable fabric and T-shirts are not meant to last forever, but if you want your shirt to last a bit longer and look good too, there are some washing instructions you need to observe. To avoid the color fading the shirt should be washed in warm or cool water. Bleach can be used in moderation but will weaken the fabric eventually and allow tearing. Acids are not ever good for cotton and any stain such as from juice should be attended to with cold water as soon as possible. You can expect any 100% cotton shirt to shrink so you may consider this when you choose your size, but if it is treated with a durable-press or shrinkage-resistant finish it won’t.
