Custom Shirts
Once you get started in the personalizing trend, you’ll likely find that it’s just plain fun, and that nothing quite beats putting together outfits that have your name and style written all over them. It used to be really that the t-shirt was it. Now, that’s a little passé, and this means thinking somewhat ‘out of the shirt’.Most people know to expect some writing on a t-shirt, but we’re less inclined to look for it on a pair of shorts or on a pair of jeans.
I have a friend that is setting up his own business printing logos on t-shirts. The logo’s definitely original, and the style and statement is there. But it’s not really that new. People appreciate the look he’s created but it doesn’t create a heart beat beyond that.
If you’ve ever been in a clothes printing shop, you’ll find that 99% of the clients walk out the door with a t-shirt or sweatshirt bundled up with a logo on it. Few customers will get a logo printed on a pair of track pants or shorts. It’s not that it isn’t done, it’s just it’s not the obvious choice.
If you’re into customizing your clothes, then go radical. Have some fun. Don’t do what people expect you to do, do what they don’t expect.
Maybe your logo will be “Do the Unexpected”, maybe it’ll be “Go Radical”, and it certainly won’t be “Been there, Done that, Bought the T-shirt”.
